This is the Castle of Beersel... "the only intact example of medieval, military architecture to be found in Belgium today." And "It was built during the 13th century to defend Brussels against attack from Flanders." Pretty amazing to stand inside a building and think about life going on in the same spot some 700-800 years ago!
