Dear Friends,

We have an urgent and serious prayer request. Please feel free to pass it on.

Our son, Stephen, has had back problems for some time, which finally resulted in the Doctors doing an MRI. Yesterday at 3:30, PM, EST, he went to have it read. The Local doctor said he must go immediately to the regional hospital. There the doctors said he needed to go immediately to Michigan State Hospital in Ann Arbor. Stephen and Sarah drove directly there, arriving sometime after midnight.

The Mich. State hospital had assembled a group of doctors, including a Neurosurgeon, who were waiting for them upon their arrival. It is now about 4:30 AM, EST and Stephen has been checked by several doctors and has had another, more sophisticated MRI, etc. And surgery will take place as soon as it can be arranged...

Right now please pray for Stephen, his physical recovery, and his doctors.

Dear Friends,

I apologize for the amount of e-mail communication, and appreciate your prayers.

Our son Phillip just met with the surgeon, who apologized for the miscommunication. Stephen's surgery is in 2 hours, probably 7 to 8 hour operation. The doctor believes it is either myeloma or lymphoma. I’m not sure I know the difference.

But Rebecca and I wanted to ask for your prayers. I’ll keep you updated.
