Marta got another bath in the kitchen sink! She was again perfect and I again had the great privilege of helping! :-) This photo was taken after her bath while Mommy was putting lotion on her belly.

And Rebecca's birthday continues! On Thursday, after the weekly Bible study, the ladies threw a delicious and beautiful birthday party for Rebecca. She got lots of new flowers and we decided that she is blessed with amazing, beautiful, and very dear friends.

The Butte de Lion in Waterloo
I had the great fun of spending part of my day off today with a new-found friend from the Netherlands! Diana is living in La Hulpe (minutes away from the Petries) helping take care of three children. We met on the first day I arrived here, as she was visiting the Petries for the first time and may be coming over to help care for Rebecca for a few hours each week. To make a long story short, we were introduced and despite my exhaustion and jetlag, she managed to get along with me and we hit it off right away. We were able to get together today since it was my day off and she does not have to work on the weekends. It was wonderful to spend the afternoon with her! We walked and talked and talked and walked and ate brownies and cookies and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more about eachother. Looking forward to more time and adventures with this fun friend!
